Srigunting Waterfall in Nganjuk Regency, East Java Province
It is a known fact. Sawahan Sub-District in Nganjuk Regency is known for its amazing waterfall. All of those beautiful falls are located on the slope of the famous Wilis Mountain as well. One of them is called Srigunting and it belongs to Ngliman Village. The accessibility is considered challenging, but it gives a new experience to tourists. After visitors park their vehicle at the village, they should conduct trekking to the site. As an alternative, they can park the vehicle near to Sedudo Waterfall, which is called Cemoro Kandang. Trekking and exploration are quite common, as tourists must pass through a wild nature in order to reach the site. However, the waterfall also offers other attractions to tourists. The serenity is one of them.
A peaceful nuance welcomes everyone. Perhaps, it is because the waterfall is located in the midst of a forest and on the slope of a mountain. Due to the reason, the number of visitors is low. That means tourists can find peace and get rid of stresses almost in an instant in that area. Not to mention the wind blows comfortably and carries refreshing mountain air. On top of that, the waterfall creates beautiful dews when hitting the cliffs and rocks! Don’t forget that the waterfall also comes with a soothing gurgling water sound!
Another common tourist activity in Srigunting Waterfall is bathing or playing water. As mentioned before, the water discharge is safe enough for taking shower and the natural pond is wide enough to accommodate lots of tourists. As for the depth, it is considered shallow. That means kids can also enjoy bathing and swimming without worries.

How to Get There
From Surabaya City or the capital of East Java Province, tourists are likely to spend around 2 hours and 3 minutes to get to Nganjuk Regency. It is because the distance is 112 km. As for the best route, everyone should take Surabaya – Mojokerto Highway first. Later, they may continue the trip by taking Mojokerto – Kertosono Highway. After arriving at Nganjuk Regency, it takes about 1 hour to reach Srigunting Waterfall. The distance is 32.2 km and the best route to take is Sedudo Street.
