Bukit Salju Ngetos in Nganjuk Regency, East Java Province

When visiting Nganjuk Regency, tourists should not forget dropping by in Ngetos Sub-District. Why is that? It is the home of some beautiful highlands, including the one called Salju Hill. In terms of name, “Salju” means snow. Despite the fact, visitors won’t find a snowy landscape up there. Instead, it features an unspoiled nature and splendid panoramas. The majority of people come to the site for photography, but some others choose it as their trekking route. Knowing the growing popularity, the local government has given some improvements to this area. No wonder, it becomes a better location to spend a family recreation, adventure, and sightseeing.

The Nuance
There is no detailed info regarding the history of the name. What tourists know is only the great nuance of the site. The local government has included it in the list of local most famous vacation spots these days. For the information, the inauguration was in 2018. What makes it popular, though? The site is dominated by pine trees and comfy atmosphere. Aside from that, visitors would find many facilities including gazebos, tree houses, fun photo spots, and much more. Exploring Bukit Salju Ngetos
The question is what tourists may do in Salju Hill. According to the locals, most visitors are likely to enjoy trekking there. Here is a good thing. The route is considered easy, so it is suitable for both first-times and those who never explore a highland before. Not to mention the trekking route is less challenging and sloping. What is more? Everyone can explore it regardless of the time, even at noon. The tall pine trees would protect tourists from the heat of the sun, for sure.

During the exploration and trekking, tourists can use all available facilities in Salju Hill. The most favorite one perhaps is the gazebos. Tourists can simply sit on it comfortably and spend a good time with their families or friends in nature. It is also recommended to carry some snacks or foods later. After resting, the next best thing to do is definitely photography. The best object to capture is indeed the formation of beautiful pine trees. As for other objects, tourists can simply take photos on the available photo spots. Many unique photogenic backgrounds are available there, including wings, colorful umbrellas, and much more.

What is more? Salju Hill has other allures and one of them is related to the history. For instance, it is the Dutch Fort and weapon storage. It would be a waste if tourists don’t drop by in these buildings when exploring the hill. Another interesting allure is the presence of Banyu Towo fountain, which has serene and beautiful water.
