Kedung Simin Waterfall in Tulungagung Regency, East Java Province
The next beautiful waterfall is available to visit when spending a holiday in Tulungagung Regency. The locals call it Kedung Simin Waterfall, which is located in Boyolungu Sub-District. Tourists only need to get to Sanggrahan Village in order to reach the site. Speaking of location, the waterfall resides in the same area as the famous cave called Selomangleng. That means visitors can explore two amazing natural attractions during the same day. The only disappointment is the waterfall doesn’t come with facilities. Have no worries. The height is not more than 2 meters and the water discharge is small. The best feature is that the waterfall comes with some natural ponds and even a beautiful river. As mentioned before, the site has several natural ponds that tourists can enjoy. Each of them has a different depth and clarity. As long as tourists explore the site well, they would find the right pond for bathing. It depends on the depth and size, actually. That means even parents won’t worry letting their kids getting in the ponds (as long as they choose the shallow one).
Do bathing and playing water is not enough? Well, in this case, tourists should reach a higher ground. The purpose is to jump off to the river that resides near to the waterfall. This river has stunning crystal blue water! Not to mention it feels so refreshing in the morning. Everyone can safely jump off the rock and get in the water directly! This looks extreme but fun! Even local kids do it often with their friends on the site.
Another allure in Kedung Simin Waterfall is the presence of a themed viewing post. It looks like a giant bird nest! In fact, tourists are allowed to get on it and take photos. It indeed requires some efforts to climb the viewing post, though. Have no worries. The safety is excellent and some locals are always available to help tourists.

How to Get There
For those coming from Surabaya City or the capital of East Java Province, they need to spend around 2 hours and 58 minutes in order to reach Tulungagung Regency. The distance is 158 km and the best route to take is Mojokerto – Kertosono Highway. The good thing is the waterfall is located close to the downtown. Tourists only need to take Raya Tulungagung – Blitar Street to get there. The distance is 9.3 km, so this trip only takes around 17 minutes.
