Pantai Muncar
Sebagai salah satu daerah yang memiliki banyak objek wisata alam, Kabupaten Banyuwangi selalu menjadi rekomendasi utama para wisatawan yang ingin berlibur ke pulau Jawa. Salah satu tempat yang bisa dikunjungi ketika ke Banyuwangi adalah Pantai Pesisir di daerah selatan Banyuwangi. Pantai yang indah ini berlokasi di Muncar ( sekitar 35 kilometer dari kota Banyuwangi ), sehigga sering dikenal dengan Pantai Muncar.
Di Muncar terdapat pelabuhan yang digunakan oleh nelayan untuk menempatkan perahu mereka yang digunakan sehari - hari untuk menangkap ikan di laut. Keberadaan pelabuhan Muncar membuat masyarakat di sekitar pelabuhan berprofesi sebagai nelayan. Muncar adalah pelabuhan terbesar kedua setelah Bagan Siapi-api. Di Jawa Timur, Muncar adalah pelabuhan terbesar. Hampir semua kepala keluarga yang tinggal di dekat pelabuhan Muncar memiliki mata pencaharian sebagai nelayan. Di pelabuhan ada ratusan perahu dengan berbagai ukuran dan warna corak yang beraneka ragam sehingga menambah eksotika dan keindahan pelabuhan Muncar.
Setiap satu tahun sekali, selalu diadakan perayaan petik laut, sebuah upacara tradisional yang dilakuka di pantai. Petik Laut Muncar merupakan kegiatan yang sakral. Dalam prosesinya, miniature perahu penuh sesaji, seperti kepala kambing, bermacam kue, buah-buahan, pancing emas, opium, dan dua ekor ayam hidup, dilarung ke laut. Pada malam persiapan sesaji di perahu miniature, banyak orang tidak tidur semalam suntuk. Pagi harinya sebelum dilarung ke laut, perahu miniature diarak keliling desa. Istilahnya disebut dengan Ider Bumi. Usai prosesi upacara petik laut, masyarakat kembali ke Pantai. Banyak orang yang mandi dengan harapan agar Sang Hyng Iwak, Dewi Laut, memberi berkah kepada mereka.
