Pantai Plengkung / G-Land
Pantai Plengkung atau biasa di sebut dengan G-Land, adalah salah satu pantai di Banyuwangi dan telah populer di kenal sebagai âThe Seven Giant Waves Wonderâ yang diberikan oleh seorang peselancar dunia atas gulungan ombaknya yang memukau.
Pantai ini terletak sebagai bagian dari Taman Nasional Alas Purwo dan ombak di pantai ini merupakan salah satu yang terbaik di dunia, dengan ombak setinggi 4-6 meter sepanjang 2Km dalam formasi 7 gelombang bersusun. Untuk itu, tidak salah bahwa pantai Plengkung merupakan surga bagi para peselancar profesional dunia yang ingin menaklukkan desiran ombak G-Land ini.
Selain di Plengkung, hanya di Hawaii, Australia, dan Afrika Selatan saja yang memiliki ombak dasyat seperti itu. Ombak di Plengkung adalah nomor dua setelah Hawaii dan yang memiliki ombak terus menerus sepanjang tahun. Puncak ombak di Plengkung hanya ada di bulan-bulan tertentu antara April hingga Agustus. Oleh karena itu tidaklah mengherankan Plengkung sudah lima kali menjadi ajang surfing internasional.
Nama G-Land mengindikasikan dari kata Grajagan, yaitu nama dari sebuah teluk. G-land atau Pantai Plengkung ini dikelilingi oleh hutan tropis yang masih alami dan indah, sehingga menawarkan satu paket komplit untuk berwisata dan berolah raga.
