About Magetan Regency
Magetan is one of regencies in East Java Island that bordered with Central Java province. Magetan regency region that located in Mount Lawu foot is rich of nature tourism such as lake, waterfall, etc. Beside that, there are also historical tourism objects such as; temple, grave and inscription.
This regency is located between 111020'30"
East Longitude and between 7038'30" South Latitude.
This regency is state on 60-1.660 meters on sea level.
This region boundaries is:
* North side: Ngawi Regency
* East side: Madiun Regency
* South side: Ponorogo Regency
* West side: Central Java Province.
The area of Magetan Regency is about 688,82 km2. Magetan Regency consists of 13 districts and 235 villages. Magetan is located in 183km west of Surabaya; it is a beautiful hill resort by the Sarangan Crater Lake.
The temperature in Magetan is 16-200C in mountain area and 22-260C in low area. The rainfall is about 1.481 - 2.345 per year in high area and about 876 - 1.551 mm per year in low area. This region condition make Magetan regency has big potential in plantation and tourism aspect.
