RANU PANE - RANU REGULO - RANU GEMBOLO
Masuk dalam kawasan konservasi Taman Nasional Bromo Tengger Semeru Taman Nasional terdapat 3 danau yang cukup terkenal keberadaannya. Danau ini juga menjadi rute untuk mulai mendaki Gunung Penanjakan, Gunung Bromo dan Gunung Semeru.
Tiga danau tersebut adalah Ranu Pane, Ranu Kumbolo dan Ranu Regulo. Danau-danau ini memiliki pemandangan yang luar biasa indah dan hijau. Danau-danau yang terletak di desa Panupane, Kecamatan Senduro, 50 Km di sebelah barat Kabupaten Lumajang, tepat berada di lereng Gunung Bromo dan Semeru.
Ranu Pane adalah sebuah danau hijau dengan luas 1 hektar, sementara Ranu Regulo memiliki luas sekitar 0,75 ha. Kedua danau ini terletak di ketinggia 2.200 m di atas permukaan laut. Dari tempat ini, kita bisa melihat Gunung Semeru berdiri megah dengan kaldera di sekitar kawah.
Bagi pengunjung yang ingin tinggal disekitar danau tersebut, disediakan rumah tinggal, vila dan pondok-pondok untuk menginap.
Mirip dengan Ranu Pane dan Ranu Regulo, Ranu Kumbolo meiliki area yang lebih luas dari kedua danau tersebut, yaitu 8 hektar dan terletak di 22.390 m di atas permukaan laut. Ranu Kumbolo terbentuk dari letusan kawah Gunung Jambangan.
Bagi mereka yang suka hiking, Ranu Kumbolo adalah pit-stop untuk mempersiapkan petualangan mereka. Selain itu, Ranu Kumbolo juga menyediakan gubuk untuk pejalan kaki dan ada camping ground untuk berkemah.
Juga, terdapat sebuah monumen kuno yang berdiri di Ranu Kumbolo. Masyarakat setempat percaya bahwa monumen itu sudah ada sejak jaman kerajaan Majapahit.
Udara segar, air bersih, suasana yang menyenangkan adalah hal yang para pengunjung akan dapatkan saat menghabiskan waktu di danau-danau yang menakjubkan tersebut.
