The LE Gallery, a gallery of fine art, especially for wood carving is a collection of the finest wood carving carved by the best woodcarver from Indonesia, where their creative abilities are demanded by most of designers and their work can be found on display in many art shows throughout the world.

In creating a wood carving, our woodcarver starts with the felled tree which can be found in the jungle.The wood, we have used is the wood which has attained several decades of age which are found in the forest of mount Merapi (known as the famous tourist attraction, Kali Urang).
It is located approximately 500 KM from the west of Bali Island and then they make them to be several basic blocks of wood. Before carving, they learn the natural artistry of the grain, it is meant to help them to shape their ideas for design into the creations.
With their trained skill (It is inherited by their parents), they began to carve. To finish one large carving (as seen on picture), It takes 2 - 4 weeks. The weight of it can be more less 50 Kg - 200 Kg. Because it is made by skilled hand (artist), the carving will not be the same with the previous one although it is made by the artist itself.

Our company is located in Yogyakarta - Indonesia. It's about half an hour flight from Bali,
the island of gods, where our carvers come from. We have been about 5 years in woodcarving matters. So we really knew better all about it and that's why we only provide you the best designs, carvers and woods to produce the best woodcarvings.
