In 1984, Mr.
Budi Hartono, the founder, acted on his own initiatives to get
into job order based furniture business. The materials
are used mostly rattan and manao, with Japan as the main
market (± 80%). The demand for these products was high,
and the market growth was accelerated as expected.
Within only a
few years, we had expanded ourselves as wood furniture and housing
components manufacturer in order to get into more potential market,
the U.S.A and Europe. They came in various kinds of wood, such
as : Falcatta, Bengkirai, White Meranti, Red Meranti, Nyatoh,
Ramin, Rubberwood, etc., combined with metal and leather. Within
two years time, the U.S.A. market has reached almost half of
the total market, followed by Japan, Germany, the U.K., Italy,
and other Asian countries.
Now, the capacity
has doubled to meet the 1,250 - 40' of containers required annually,
with 1,500 local workers being employed. The factory facility
has been continuously improved, as well as the technology used.
For almost 20 years, quality, time and service have become the
most important issues in delivering the most of the values to
the customers.
