Annually the traditional ceremony Labuhan Mulud (offering ceremony) is held here. Labuhan Mulud is the traditional ceremony that always held in the beach at Malang regency.

Sumberawan Temple - Malang

Sumberawan Temple

Sumberawan Temple that located in the foothills of Mt Arjuna to the north east of Malang, is one of a Buddhist statue in East Java. Dating from about the end of 14th century or beginning of 15th century, this site has been identified with Kasurangganan, or ‘the garden of the heavenly nymphs’, which is mentioned in the Nagarakertagama as having been visited by King Hayam Wuruk of Majapahit in 1359.

Sumberawan temple is located about 1 kilometer of Singhasari temple gateway, which in Hindu style. To reach Sumberawan temple, the visitors should walk on a path between rice field and river through 500 meters of roadway of Sumberawan village. It surrounded by nature panorama and has natural water source. It said that the water of Sumberawan pool has great energy for health. Some visitors always take a bath in this pool. They don’t want to pass it.

The temple is in Buddhist style and formed a statue without any accessories. Temple’s body is rectangular and contain of two parts. The temple is one of beautiful temple in East Java, because of its location. Every ‘Waisak’ (Buddha Holiday), Sumberawan Temple is visited by many Buddhist to celebrate the life of the Buddha. Balekambang Beach - Malang

The beach possessing three islands with distance of about one hundred meters each, two of which have been connected with one meter-wide bridge to the shore, Balekambang offers a different atmosphere of beach resorts in the Southern part of Malang. One of the three islands called Ismoyo island has a Hindu temple, established by local Hinduists.

Wonosari Tea Plantation - Malang

Wonosari Tea Plantation

Wonosari Tea Garden is located on the slopes of Mount Arjuna,
Malang regency, East Java. This plantation is located at an altitude
between the elevation of 950-1250 with temperatures between
19-26 degrees Celsius.

Agro tea plantation is managed by PT Perkebunan Nusantara XII
(Persero), the state company (BUMN) which moves in the field of coffee,
cocoa, rubber, tea, and horticulture. Agro Wonosari Tea Garden is one
of a comfortable place to visit because of the mild climate conditions
and the natural beauty panorama.

Agro tourism is suitable for families, especially on weekends.
Tourists who visit the tea plantation tourism can enjoy some of this
attraction, recreation, sports, and activities to draw knowledge.
Tourism is to facilitate visitors to enjoy the natural charm of tea,
breathe fresh air while walking or running, running, see the activity
of the tea-picker, and how to draw knowledge-shoots cultivated tea

Location Agrowisata Wonosari Tea Garden is located at the border

From Surabaya, the distance that must be applied to the tea
plantation in the area is about 80 km to the south, while from the city
of Malang, about 30 km to the north. Travel from Surabaya or Malang can
be of use to the public (bus) or private vehicle. If using a public
vehicle, visitors descend on the city suggested District Lawang, Malang
Regency. From this district visitors can ride public transport
(microbus) to go to the plantation area, 6 km distance.

Duty location to tour this nature be based on ordinary days and
holidays.. On a normal day (Monday-Saturday) visitors are charged Rp
5,000 per person, while on holidays (Sunday and national holidays etc.)
the visitor will be required to pay Rp 6,000 (February 2008).

area because some drop in the home (home stay / homeless) that can be
hired with the rates vary. For one room, visitors can make rent
between Rp 100,000-Rp 300,000 per night, depends on the complement of
facilities provided, such as air conditioner and hot water shower.
While the rent for a homeless, visitors can rent with the price
range Rp 1,000,000-Rp 200,000 per night, depending on the number of
additional rooms and facilities available (February 2008). If you want
to camp, a visitor can use the land the camp also provided the location
of this plantation.

Sendang Biru Beach - Malang

Sendang Biru is one of beach resorts in the southern part of Malang Regency, which free from tumulus waves of Indian Ocean due to the existence of wild life Sempu Island, which is about 300 meters offshore.

At the other side of this beach is now being used as Fishing Harbor and Fish Auction Center where fisherman disembark their catches in which both are under the authority of the Fishery Service and Managed by KUD (Village Cooperation Unit),” Mina Jaya Pondok Dadap”.

Officially, the beach of Sendang Biru is managed by the S Forestry Company which has so far provided the beach with inns, guest house, stalls, guard houses, boats, etc.

To reach Sendang Biru, the visitor can use “Mikrolet” from Gadang – Turen – Sendang Biru. Sendang Biru is about 70 km away to the south from Malang at Tambakrejo village, Sumbermanjing Wetan district.
