Serang Beach

Serang beach is located in Serang village, Panggungrejo sub-district, it ‘s about 40 Km from Blitar city.

This beach is stunningly beautiful. The sea water has turquoise color and strong waves, typical of Indonesian south sea. Moreover, the greenish nuance is also can be found around the hill in the next side of the beach.

The visitors who come to the beach can hike the cliff and fishing. In fact, there are numbers of fisherman who traditionally fishing the lobster and fishes.

Animal Museum - Batu Secret Zoo, Batu

Animal Museum

Batu Secret Zoo is an official site of Jawa Timur Park or Jatim Park 2 that located in Batu city, East Java. Batu Secret Zoo is a modern zoo, complete with the high architectural design and numbers of animals’ collection. This zoo can be accessed for about 30n minutes from Malang city or 90 minutes from Surabaya. Moreover, this location is also near to other recreational park, which is Batu Night Spectacular or BNS.

By lying on 2 hectares land, there are three sections become the visitors’ route during the exploration to this zoo. The first section is about the zoo. The visitors who entrance the gate, can exploring the animals in some of artificial cage. The animals are taken from the entire endemic world and divided into some sections like Tiger land, Savannah Land, Hippo and Croc Garden, River Adventure, Safari Farm, Reptile zone and so on.
While enjoying the exotic animals, the visitors can also experience the beautiful sceneries along the uphill and down road.

The second section is called Museum Satwa or The Animals Museum. The content of this museum is about the bones of the animal, like, dinosaurs; the artificial pre historic animals, the artificial of the extinct animals and the preserved animals like butterfly, civet, deer, some of fishes and more. This museum is standing close to exit gate of the main section. The museum is having luxurious white building exterior and high interior design.

The Mist At The Edge Of The Crater

Ijen Crater

Ijen is the complex of volcanic area, which there is a crater of Ijen and its plateau, which has 2,600M and 8,660 M high. Ijen is located in three parts of regencies, which in Situbondo, Bondowoso, and Banyuwangi, East Java. This volcanic area become the most incredible and surreal volcanic area in East Java.

In this volcanic mountain, there is also the sulfur mining, regarding that the mountain is still active and produce the nature sulfur. In here, we can see the sulfur miners that collect and carry huge loads of pure sulfur up from the crater floor along a steep, rocky path in the middle of clouds of sulfur dioxide gas. They did it as their living hood. Particularly, Ijen volcanic mountain is consider as the home to the largest lake of sulfuric acid in the world. The lake can produce 36 Million cubic meter representing a solution of sulfuric acid and hydrogen chloride, the most powerful existing acids.

Ijen volcanic area is lies to west of Merapi Mountain. The crater is having a wide turquoise colored acid lake that rich in sulfur. The dramatic nuance can be seen around this marvelous Tosca Lake.

The Ijen Plateau, is a large of highland area in Southeast of Bondowoso, which includes the peaks and foothills of Ijen Mountain, Raung Mountain, Suket Mountain and Merapi Mountain.

Among the plateau, the area is such a rural village, which there is coffee plantations, vegetables garden and an upland forest.
For those who like to hike Ijen crater, the access is about 3Km hike from Pal Tuding. In Pal Tuding, there is camping ground, dorm and national park office, where the hikers can get the safety info before hiking the crater.

The path to the crater is about steeply uphill, passing the forest edge that can be easily be follow. The journey will pass 45 minutes and the visitors will get into the crater. The visitors can walk along the top of the crater, or descend to the edge of the lake along the narrow path that the miners usually through while mining the sulfur.

This also becomes the agenda for East Java tourism aboard, to attract the tourists to come in order to introduce the uniquely East Java.

PASURUAN ANNIVERSARY

Pasuruan city is located in golden triangle between the towns of Probolinggo – Malang and Pasuruan that located 45 km northeast of the provincial capital of East Java. Pasuruan is known as Kota Santri or Muslim Students, for the most people are moslem and there are numbers of Islam Borading School or Pondok Pesantre in here.
February 8 is the anniversary of Pasuruan, to commemorate that day, the societies is always celebrated by holding a variety of activities including:
- praying in the tomb of Suropati, completing, games, thanksgiving ceremonial and many more. Those activities are involving the entire socities in Pasuruan. At the main event, there will be “Kirap Petaka Untung Suropati”, which is the procession of the build of Pasuruan at old times.

This Colossal drama is annually held to commemorate the uprising of PETA souldiers against Japanese colonial in Blitar in 1945, which was led by Sudanco Soeprijadi. By this colossal drama, it hopefully can increase the value of heroism and appreciate the sense of patriotism to the country.

Sampang anniversary is annually held at the same day with Grebeg Maulid at 12 Rabiul Awal (Islamic Calendar). At this day there will be a festival that consists of Pilgrimage tour to Sampang elder, fireworks, social activities and live music.

TOURISM AMBASSADOR ELECTION : KANGMAS DIAJENG

This Kangmas-Diajeng election is held by Blitar society annually. By helding this election can also increase the visit of the tourists in Blitar. Afterward, the winner of the election will be included in East Java Raka-Raki election in Surabaya.
Location: The Office of Communications, Information and Tourism Blitar.

It is important to inform that the local communities usually determine the schedules of the ceremonial events by using the calendars of Javanese, Moslem, and Hindu Tenggerese. Therefore, to assure the exact date of the events, it is advisable to confirm the local Government Tourist Offices.

Baluran National Park

Baluran national park is a forest preservation area that extends about 25.000 ha on the north coast of East Java. It located in Sumberwaru village, Banyuwangi district, Situbondo, precisely on the east border of Java Island.

The visitors that come to Baluran national park will experience the exotic panorama of Savannah and mount Baluran, which is inactive volcano and inhabited by exotic animals like wild pigs, deer, peacocks, wild chicken, some species of monkeys and also bulls as the protected animals in the area.

Ranu Kumbolo

Similar to Ranu Pane and Ranu Regulo, Ranu Kumbolo is wider than both lakes, which has 8 ha and located at 22,390 m above sea level. Ranu Kumbolo is formed from massive crater of Jambangan Mountain.

For those who like to hike, Ranu Kumbolo is the pit stop to prepare their adventure. Moreover, Ranu Kumbolo is also providing a hut for hikers and there is camping ground to sleep over. Also, there is an ancient monument that standing on Ranu Kumbolo. Local people believe that monument were already existed since Majapahit Empire.

Fresh air, clear water, nice atmosphere is the thing that the visitors can get while spending time in these marvelous lakes. Forget the daily routines, sweep away the burdens, Ranu Pane, Ranu Regulo and Ranu Kumbolo is the perfect place to recharge your body and soul.

Teleng Ria Beach

Teleng Ria beach is the nearest destination while visiting Pacitan Regency, it is about 5 minutes from the city. This beach faced to ‘Pantai Selatan’ or South Sea with the extent of white sand along 3 km. The distance from the Capital of Pacitan regency to the location is only 3,5 km, and it is easily reached with various vehicle.

The wave is medium and enjoyable for swimming and also to have a picnic with family. It has white sand and beautiful panorama guarded by limo mountains.

The visitors can enjoy the south sea wave, swimming pool and play ground, a stage for cultural event for Bonggo Budoyo and camping area, fishing area, hotels, and traditional food of Pacitan.

Sarangan Lake - Magetan

Sarangan Lake

Telaga Sarangan is also known as sand lake, is a natural lake that lies at the foot of Mount Lawu, Plaosan district , Magetan regency, East Java. Located about 16 kilometers west of the city Magetan, Sarangan is having 30 acres and and 28 meters depth. With air temperatures between 18 and 25 degrees Celsius, Telaga Sarangan able to attract hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. The atmosphere is obviously become the most interesting place for the downtown people.

Telaga Sarangan is Magetan’s tourism. Around the lake, there are two star hotels, 43 motels, and 18 cottages. Beside hotels, there are also souvenir shop and food vendors. The visitors can enjoy the lake by renting the boat or horse riding over the lake or playing in the play ground or traditional market. For those who like to eat satay, here the visitors can eat rabbit satay which is become the characteristic of Sarangan.

Furthermore, Telaga Sarangan has several important annual events, which is anchoring the offerings on Friday Pon in Ruwah month (Javanese calender), Ledug Sura 1 Muharram, and fireworks on New Year’s Eve.

On Papuma - Jember

Papuma Beach

Beside Watu Ulo beach, there is Papuma beach with its white sands that make it more interesting. The beautiful white sand is pleasure to see and to walk on. The beach is always used as the place for sunbathing by foreign tourists.

Besides its natural scenic beauty, it is also rich of animals, such as the lizard, forest cock, various birds, wild pig, deer porcupine, scaly anteater and many others.

The scenery and atmosphere can be enjoyed more completely at a restaurant which provides Indonesian and Papuma food, a variety of baked fish. Visitors can reach the location by public transportation or via rental car. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes from Jember downtown.

Ngagelan Beach - Banyuwangi

Ngagelan Beach

Ngagelan beach is a breeding area. It is located 7 km to the west of Trianggulasi Bay. It is also the hachery for the baby turtles. Some biology students do the research here.

Ngagelan beach has much kind of turtle, such as Lepidochelys olivaceae, Eretmochelys imbricata, Dermochelys coreacea, Chelonia mydas, etc. Lepidochelys olivaceae is the most available here. Ngagelan beach can reach by any vehicle from Rowobendo post through west direction or it can be reach by foot through the beach that about 8 km.
